About OrbRoyal

OrbRoyal is an independent browser game about balls floating in zero gravity. It started with a simple question: what happens if a few googly-eyed balls are dropped into a ring with no gravity, and handed weapons?

What we care about

• Physics you can read. Motion is plain Newtonian: straight lines until something collides. No hidden steering, so you can see why things happen.
• Fighters that are yours. Flags, photos, logos and colours, with the picture shattering into its own pieces when a ball is knocked out.
• Video first. Everything is drawn on a vertical canvas so a finished match is ready to share.
• Comfort options. Calm effects, blood off, light graphics and size limits for recordings, so more people can enjoy it.
• Light on your device. The game is drawn directly in your browser with no downloads, and your pictures never leave your device.

Under the hood

OrbRoyal is written with standard web technology and draws everything itself: the balls, the flags, the weapons, the explosions and the sounds. Fonts are hosted on this website rather than loaded from a third party.
